My husband and I have a single wide mobile home in NW Indiana that we plan to summer in. However, we have the occasional winter event there that we would enjoy going to. Is there a way to winterize the property that does not render it unliveable? Currently, we are blowing the water systems and piping dry. That works well, but if we need to go up there for a week or two, we have to stay in a hotel. Is there another way? We have already done the winterization for this year, but are looking for solutions for next winter.

We have a travel trailer and to winterize it, my husband drains the grey water and black water tanks and flushes those systems, also, the faucets in the galley area and bathroom are left open, the hot water tank is drained and dried. All systems in the trailer are shut down, and all paper products are stored in a large plastic bin to avoid rodents that might make their way into the unit, the refrigerator is cleaned and doors of the fridge are left ajar to keep mold down, all unperishable food is removed, trailer is cleaned thoroughly, linens washed, folded and replaced in storage units in trailers.
