Silver Post Medal for All Time! 293 Posts Don't let the pictures fool you, these are actually quite easy to make. If you can single and double crochet, you can make these feminine and elegant gloves. What a special gift these would make for a beautiful bride! She can even keep them on when that handsome groom is placing the ring on her finger.
Total Time: About 3 hours
Supplies:
- about 100 yards #5 nylon thread
- size "0" 3.25mm steel crochet hook
- scissors
- embroidery needle for weaving in ends
Steps:
- Ch 30.
- 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, ch 1, 1 dc in next ch, * skip 1 ch, 1 dc in next ch, ch 1, 1 dc in next ch, repeat from*, 1 dc in last ch.
- Ch 3, turn. Skip 1st 2 dc, *(1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) in ch space, skip 2 dc, repeat from *, skip last dc, 1 dc in 3rd ch of turn ch.
- Repeat last step 17 times more.
- Fold in half, bottom half towards you, ch 1, turn.
- Work 14 sc through both thicknesses, 9 slip stitch through the layer closest to you only, 3 sc through both thicknesses. **Do not fasten off your thread**
- Turn glove right side out, ch 1, work 57 sc around the top edge of the entire glove. Join with a slip stitch to the first sc.
- Ch 1, sc in same space as ch, *skip 3 sc, (2 dc, ch 3, slip stitch in top of ch 3, 2 dc) in next sc, repeat from* until you have 4 sc remaining. Skip these, join with a slip stitch to your first sc, fasten off.
- You will now attach your thread with a slip stitch to the bottom edge of your glove. Ch 2, work 47 hdc evenly around the bottom edge. Join with a slip stitch to your ch 2.
- Ch 1, sc in same space as ch, *skip 3 sc, (2 dc, ch 3, slip stitch in top of ch 3, 2 dc) in next stitch, repeat from *until you have 3 sc left. Skip these, join with a slip stitch to your first sc. Fasten off and weave in ends.
- All set!

I wish I had these at my wedding. I had lace gloves from a vintage shop that didn't fit great so I never wore them :( thumbs up!
