Yorkie Randomly Shaking?

Yorkies are known to sometimes begin to shake. There are a variety of reasons for this. One is that lacking an undercoat they are more likely to reacting to the cold. Also, puppies under 4 months may suffer from hypoglycemia, a sudden drop in blood sugar which can result in shaking. Check with your vet to ensure your best response to this behavior.

I have a 7 yr old Yorkie and sometimes his body just starts to shake for no reason. He has done this a few times before (out of the blue). I have gone to him, petted and held him to let him know everything is OK. He just did it again today.

He was outside in the yard, and just awaiting for us to open and door and he just started shaking. I can't figure out what the problem can be. Does anyone have an idea or give a suggestion on what can be wrong?

It can be anything from temperature to anxiety to seizures. Since this sounds like a new thing, have the vet do a check and help you figure it out. Document each time you have seen it happen to help the vet look for patterns.
