I want to ask if it is normal that my zebra finch laid 2 eggs outside the nest and 3 inside it. I thought at first that maybe the ones outside the nest are infertile, but then I saw that she sat on them and she is sitting also on the ones inside of the nest. In this case should I put all the eggs together in the nest or she will reject them if I transfer the eggs? I don't know what to do.

First time bird owners all ask the same question when it comes to the bird laying eggs. it is best to leave the bird alone and let her do her own thing. She understands why she dd this and we do not have ayn idea. It could be easier for her to sit on the eggs because they are flat and not staked on top of each other in the nest. I would not touch them and just let her take cae of them. It seems she has it all figured out and is dong a good job.
Hi,
How sweet! If she is sitting on her eggs, no matter where they are, they should hatch within 12-15 days. If they are not hatched within 20 days you can throw them out of the cage and nest.
Have a wonderful day!

I would leave everything as it is and let nature take its course.
