I have owned an original Zippo lighter for the last five to six years. For the last few months I am facing a unique problem. The fuel does not last for more than 2 days after refueling. Kindly suggest what could be the problem behind this?

We own several Zippo lighters and have had the same problem. More than likely the lid is loose and needs to be repaired. This is a common problem and if it is an original Zippo they will repair it for free (yes I said free), you just have to pay the shipping there. You can get more information on the Zippo brand from their website www.zippo.com. Hope this helps.
The sponge that holds the fuel is no longer absorbent. These lighters are guaranteed for life so you can send it back and they will fix it. All you have to do is mail it to the factory which is in the United States. Tell them the problem and make sure they have your address and phone number.
