Topping:
Cream together sugar and butter or margarine. Mix in eggs. In separate bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and cocoa. Add to sugar, butter and eggs mixture. Beat until combined. Add zucchini and mix well. For the topping, mix together the sugar, chocolate chips and nuts (if using). Sprinkle evenly over the top.

I used a 10X10 inch pan. I put the chocolate chips on after it cooled for a bit and baked it in a 350 degree oven.
It sounds good however not much cocoa! Is the topping 'grainy'?
How much zucchini? 1 1/2 whole ones or 1 1/2 cups? I would think more cocoa.
I used 1-1/2 cups ground up zucchini. I too thought it did not seem chocolatey enough when I read the recipe but went by what it said and it seemed like enough chocolate to me. I am sure you could add another tablespoon of cocoa and have no negligible difference in the batter.
