This one looks a bit different as it uses cherry pie filling:

And previously on ThriftyFun.com:

I didn't even know there was such a thing as 'cherry' chips.

I remember fondly the Twin Bing candy. I didn't know it was ever called Cherry Mash. I just remember it was very sweet and good.

Hi. I have this one in a church cookbook, hope it is what your looking for.

Cherry Mash Bonbons

1 stick oleo, softened, 1tsp. vanilla

1 can Eagle brand milk, 1 can cherry frosting
1 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips or
1pkg. chocolate almond bark
2.75 oz. paraffin
1 10 oz. jar maraschino cherries, chopped fine.
1 lb. peanuts, chopped very fine
2 lb. powered sugar

Mix softened oleo, milk, cherries chopped fine, (if you use the cherry juice you may need to use more powered sugar.) Add cherry frosting, powered sugar and vanilla. Roll into small balls. Freeze. In top of double boiler melt almond bark OR chocolate chips with paraffin. Add peanuts. Dip cherry mash balls in melted chocolate mixture, with a toothpick. Lay on wax paper to harden. Place in a contained. Can freeze.

Cherry Mash Candy Bars are only made in St Joseph Missouri and can usually only be purchased within the state. They are like the Twin Bing but Cherry Mash are so much better!
