We recently bought a very large bottle of vegetable oil. I wanted to pour the oil into a small, easier to use bottle. The oil bottle had a foil cover, so I punched a large hole near the rim and then a small hole above it. The small hole allows air to escape and prevents the oil from "glugging" as it is being poured. Now I can pour it into the small bottle with a funnel without a mess.

Good advice. Another suggestion for your oil is to pour some in an old pump type spray bottle. You never need to buy Pam again.
Hi, if you still have a can punch (the ones that make a triangular opening in the top of a can), they can be easily used for this, I use the one on my bottle opener for this. A big triangle where you pour and a tiny one opposite for air equalization.
