If I have a pecan pie that has thawed out, but I did not cut it, can I refreeze it?
I personally wouldn't refreeze again. Could you re-heat the pie and eat with family and friends?
According to some articles, bacteria could be formed or the texture of the food item could change.

The quality will degrade greatly and will not be so tasty. I'd not do it.
I don't think it would hurt you, but I don't think it would taste very good.
I have refrozen my uncut homemade pecan pie twice. I tasted it today and it was perfect. Probably not something you can do with fruit pies, though.

Absolutely! Wrap it well in Press and Seal first, which will help cut down on freezer burn. Then wrap well with aluminum foil.
Can I freeze a pecan pie for 6 days? I just received the most fabulous pecan pie as a gift. I am hoping that I might keep it for a Christmas Eve gathering!

Of course you can Just be sure to wrap plastic wrap or aluminum foil around it before freezing. :-)
My mother always makes her pecan pies for Thanksgiving and Christmas a week or more ahead of time and freezes them, to save time for cooking other things closer to the day of the meal. She freezes them solid unwrapped, then covers them in foil and returns to freezer. She just pulls them out the night before to thaw.
