I open the cans and let the paint dry out and dispose of in the trash. I haven't needed to do this in Ocean City, so I am not sure of their legal disposal rules, which is probably the best place to start. Make sure you're "green"!

Call your local mayor's office and ask if your city has a place where paint and other materials that cannot go in the regular garbage can be dropped off. Most towns and cities have such a place nowadays.
