I recently returned from a vacation that included time spent at Knottsberry Farm and their hotel in California. In the morning my husband and I went to the breakfast buffet in their restaurant. One of the flavors of muffins was bran. I have never tasted such wonderful bran muffins. I inquired as to what made them so moist and was told that they had applesauce and molasses in them. Would any of you readers have a recipe for bran muffins including these 2 ingredients. If so, would you kindly share it with me?

Getting a lot of free applesauce by combining sales and coupons tempted me to try this one. I substituted Truvia blend for the raisins.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line 12 muffin cups with paper liners, or lightly grease bottoms only. In large mixing bowl, beat together butter and sugar at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended.
Mix ingredients together and bake in greased muffin tins for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. These will also FREEZE well.

I am looking for a recipe for buckwheat muffins with applesauce. Any submissions would be greatly appreciated.

I imagine you could just substitute buckwheat flour for half of the white flour in any applesauce muffin recipe. For buckwheat pancakes, I add a little buckwheat to a pancake mix from a box and it works perfectly.
Here is one that has buckwheat & applesauce plus blueberries:

You could use it to adapt a recipe at the very least.
Or this one has a bunch on other ingredients in it:
