It will turn out mushy! I tried that once thinking I would save time and had to throw the whole thing out. Unfortunately, hash browns need to be fried. That's what makes them brown.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In large bowl, combine all ingredients. Spread mixture in greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake 50-60 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbly.
