Melt butter in skillet. On low heat, add sugar, stirring until well blended. Add crushed Rice Krispies, and toss well to coat. Remove from heat. Add nuts and coconut. Reserve 2/3 cup cereal mixture for topping. Spread remaining cereal mixture into 8x8 inch pan. Spread ice cream over cereal. Sprinkle with reserved 2/3 cup cereal mixture on top of the ice cream. Freeze. Cut into squares to serve.

This sundae is refreshing and so very different. Make a sundae as usual, using cranberry sauce for the topping. I do not add Cool Whip, but it could be used if desired.
These sundaes are easy to make and are a perfect dessert or party treat.
