Growing Corn in a Raised BedI planted corn seeds in this 8x8 foot raised bed. When they came up, I thinned to 64 plants. So there was about one plant per square foot.

Scenery: Fort Pierce, FLI took this gorgeous picture in Fort Pierce, Florida at the manatee center. It was my first time ever in Florida, and I just love it. The weather was beautiful, it was in the middle of the winter so it was a real change.

Recycled Can Supply OrganizerIf you have some clean cans and some strong bulldog clips, you can have a catch all to keep handy. Just put the clip everywhere the tins meet, and fill evenly with things like I did. I put in office, tool, and craft supplies.

Recycled Necktie Tree SkirtThis was made from men's ties that I got from friends who's husbands no longer wore them. I did open them up but if you have enough you would not have to open them up. Cut the length you want from each (should be the same length, then hand or machine stitch them together.

Wildlife: Baby EaglesMore delightful photos from my sister. There were two baby eagles in the nest, and as they grew, both seemed quite healthy. One day my sister went to check on them and there was only one. They were nearing, but not near ready to fly.

Craft: Recycled Jean ContainersI made these for my pre-teen. I took Rice a Roni boxes with the top half cut off. I used old jeans and glued the jean material around the boxes. I used Sharpie markers to write "Live, Laugh, Love."

Use Newspaper for Weed ControlUse newspaper as an inexpensive alternative to weed-blocker fabric. Place your plants in the growing location, then lay sheets of newspaper around them and cover with a thin layer of topsoil or mulch to hold the newspaper down and hide it from view.

Beach WindchimeI have collected so much stuff from the beach, finally I put it to use. I hot glue gunned two pieces of beach glass, shells and rocks to string, then tied one end to a piece of wood (stick), then took a piece of ribbon and tied it to the end of the stick.

Wildlife: Royal Terns (Florida)I hadn't been to the ocean in about forty years! It was on my "bucket list" to go again. I finally made it last February. This photo was taken in Florida. These birds are Royal Terns. Aren't they gorgeous?
