A dog dressed as a horse for Halloween
Halloween: Horse Costume (Dog)I never enjoyed playing with dolls when I was little, but I get a real kick out of dressing my dogs for Halloween. This year I made a special costume for Petey because he is as big as a horse!

Mia (German Shepherd)Mia is a 10 year old German Shepherd. We adopted her when she was 7 weeks old. Her mom and siblings were living in an awful state. My husband accompanied his cousin to see Mia's sister, Bailey and couldn't resist bringing her home to me.

Scenery: Scottish ClootieWe visited this 'Clootie' Well when we were on holiday. A 'clootie or cloot' in Scotland is a cloth. Legend has it that if you or someone you know has an illness, you hang a cloth of theirs at the well and they should get better.

Crocheted Chain Craft IdeasWhen you have made your chain, you simply have to get a hook bigger than you did the chain with and pick a project. For instance, for a hot pad, make a chain the size of the work you want to do, in an even amount, then make a single crochet in the second chain from the hook.

Elk in Elk Country, PAWe planned a trip to Elk County, PA this year. It was awesome to see the clusters of the doe with usually one bull elk. They seem to have no fear of us.

Halloween: Box O' Popcorn CostumeI took a box, painted it white. Then I painted red stripes, leaving a spot to make the circle (I used a pan lid to make the circle.) I cut holes out for his head and arms (cut the flaps off the open end of the box where the legs come out).

Blue and light biscuit quilt.
Biscuit QuiltHere is a picture of a biscuit quilt (crib size) I made for a friend whose nursery was brown and greens. They are so fun to make! Just cut your squares (great use for scraps)! The top one should be about 1 inch larger than the bottom square.

Garden: Pineapple SageThis is the second year I started these Pineapple sage from cuttings. Started in water until roots came, transplanted into yard and kept doing it through the summer. They turned out beautiful, running across the entire yard in front of house.

Michael Jackson CostumeWow, this was hard to do, I can't lie. This is Michael "Drackson" (as my son calls him). We used DVD videos to sketch the make of the jacket. We bought a 60's style costume and used the little black leather jacket pattern.
