Winnie The Pooh CakeHere is the cake I made for my one son's first birthday. I'm not a pro and never made many decorated cakes before till I had kids. He really likes Winnie the Pooh, so I gave it a shot.

Microwave Says "Child" On DisplayA couple nights ago, I innocently pushed the 'Start' button as usual, when the screen suddenly said "Child." After staring at it dumbfounded for about a minute, hubby was called in to see if I might be mis-reading it. Nope, still said "Child."

Garden Frog BirdfeederWe feed all the birds year round. Most stay, even the hummers in our mild climate. We are rewarded with lovely bird songs. Now if we could only figure out how to get them to use a sandbox.

Towel cover for mixer.
Stand Mixer CoverLiving in a small home, my stand mixer has to be left out on the counter. To make it sort of blend in, I made a cover out of a towel.

Cheese bag.
Uses for Recycled Zip Lock BagsI get my cheese sliced in these wonderful zip locks. Their unique shape got me to thinking that I can use them for other things besides food. Once they are cleaned and dried you can use for many uses.

Garden: YuccaThis Yucca plant was bursting with color on the golf course in Texas. It should have a sweet aroma as pretty as it is.

Lengthen Jeans With Contrasting FabricParents of small girls, don't throw away those jeans because they're a little short yet still fit everywhere else! I used spare fabric to make this top (just used one of her dresses for a pattern), and then sewed a cuff around the bottom of the pants to match.
