Purple tiger rose.
Garden: Purple Tiger RoseThis is my Purple Tiger Rose. First bloom this year. Every bloom is different, not as "Purple" as I thought it would be. But very interesting all the same.

Sunrise of the lake.
Scenery: Sunrise (Ft. Louden Lake, Tennessee)Sunrise on the water was taken on March 2010 at Ft. Loudon Lake in Loudon, TN. I was able to capture this beautiful sunrise on the water with my camera. I take the camera with me everywhere as you never know when you catch that perfect shot.

Stained Glass Yard LightI bought this stained glass lamp shade at a garage sale, and the table base at a different sale. I bought a solar rope light and coiled it around a clear glass vase, and put it under the lamp shade.

2 Javalinas in the dark
Wildlife: JavelinaWe have been visited by Javalina quite regularly in the middle of the night. They kept eating our flowers, so we stopped planting them. Then we discovered they eat birdseed that has fallen to the ground.

Craft: Homemade TongsMake this cute pair of tongs for toast. Decorate craft sticks with marker. Glue the craft sticks to the sides of a clothespin, so most of the craft stick will hang over the lower end.

Garden: Harriet (Buff Orphinton) and the...Harriet is a Buff Orpington and the smallest of the chicks we got this spring. This picture was taken the day after she came to live with us. She's standing in front of the seedling starts. Baby plants and baby chickens. The house is alive with life!

Deep pink-red amaryllis bulbs in a window.
Good Morning AmaryllisOur oldest daughter and her husband live in North Florida. They are both avid gardeners. Most mornings, she sends me a photo. Last Sunday morning, this was my "Good Morning Amaryllis." I'd given her the lily bulbs when we moved from Orlando to Boca Raton in South Florida.

European robin on a planter.
European RobinThis beautiful robin has adopted us for the breeding season and he and his hen have raised a brood just yards from our back door. We have robins in the garden every winter, and some become tame enough to eat from a dish in my wife's hand.
