Wildlife: Backyard BirdhouseMy Dad was very handy and the house and yard had lots of his handiwork. He passed away in 2008, so all of these things hold even more special meaning to us. We brought this birdhouse to our new home when we moved my mother last year.

Garden: JasmineThis is one single jasmine bush/vine. It was rescued just ahead of the bulldozer that would have taken it down when it was about 2 feet tall. That was 3 years ago.

Duke in the Texas BluebonnetsWe're from Texas and our state flower is the bluebonnet. I took my son, Duke, out one day to take some pictures and while he was posing for some similar to this, he put a long blade of grass in his mouth and said: "How 'bout one like this, Momma?"

Garden: Raised BedsThese are the raised beds that my wonderful husband built me. Changed the way I garden forever! That and square foot gardening by Mel Bartholomew!

Banana Tree (Musa)This banana tree is four years old and has very small bananas on it. I was lucky to take this picture because this year in January, we had 7 inches of snow and it was killed by the snow and cold. I was heartbroken.

Garden: Fern Leaf Grevilla (Corrigin, Western Australia)I recently was lucky to come across a fern leaf grevilla with four honey bees gathering pollen from it. I feel the red of the grevillia flower really accented the bees colours.

Scenery: Shopping at the Farmer's MarketJust last week we dropped by this roadside flower, fruit and veggie stand to get our fruit and veggies for the week and I spotted this lovely view.

Wildlife: Mynah Bird in MauiWhile taking a drive and looking at the beautiful scenery in Maui, we stopped at a beach and saw a Mynah Bird sitting in a tree. What a chance for a photo op.
