Blue (Aracana Hen)This is Blue, on account of her blue-green eggs she lays daily! She is an Aracana Hen who is just over 1 year old. Our family went to the "chicken lady" and picked 15 chickens. She was the last of our chickens to survive after a predator got into the coop.

Scooter and Rascal (Ferrets)Scooter and Rascal are 7 year old Ferrets. Scooter was Adopted from a boy who could no longer keep him. We have a little dark colored girl ferret named Rascal, who was purchased for my daughter. Ferrets are such adorable pets, smart and very amusing!

Zoey (Wirehaired Fox Terrier)Zoey is a 9 year old purebred Wirehaired Fox Terrier. She became "my" pet when my roommate and I moved in together. 8 years ago, my roomie had just lost a wire hair and went to venture a "give-away" wire hair.

Dash (Min Pin Mix)Dash! is a one year old min pin mix I found him on Petfinder. He likes to play with squeaky toys and walk in the park. He is adorable!

Dottie (Rat Terrier)Dottie is a 5 year old Rat Terrier. We adopted Dottie from a pet rescue almost 3 years ago. She was a stray from another town. Dottie loves to play with her toys and loves to run outside.

Elvis (Pygmy Hedgehog)Elvis is a 1 year old Pygmy Hedgehog. I found him using CraigsList. We found a hedgehog shelter and adopted him from a terrific woman. Elvis stays fit by running on his wheel.

Olive (Shih Tzu)Olive is almost a 2 year old Shih Tzu mix. The mother of a coworker adopted a puppy and turned out not to have the time necessary to properly take care of her.

Cassie (Boxer)My pet's name is Cassie. She is a three year old white Boxer. I rescued her by answering an ad looking for a home for her. Like all larger dogs, she loves to run from one end of my acre and a half yard to the other. She was obedience trained when I got her.

Co-co Belle (Shorty Jack Russell Terrier)My cat Tarbaby was missing and thinking the pound might have picked him up I went to the local shelter looking for him. That's when I saw her big golden brown eyes peering out at me from a very small cramped cage.

Asparagus CasserolePreheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cut asparagus in 1 inch pieces. Cook until tender. Then drain. Make sauce of melted butter, flour and seasoning.

Fantasia (Black and Tan Cocker Spaniel)Fantasia is a 3 year old Black and Tan Cocker Spaniel. She was a birthday gift from my kids. Fantasia loves to chase tennis balls. She will chase it until she drops but it has to be a tennis ball, no rubber, no plastic, no sponge. It HAS to be a tennis ball.

Snickers and Nugget (Rotti/Husky and ShihTzu)Snickers and Nugget are both 8 1/2 years old. Snickers is a Rotti/Husky and Nugget is a ShihTzu. Snickers belongs to my neighbor and Nugget is mine. We both have 2 dogs each.

Walter Leonidas Raphael (Pit Bull Terrier)Walter Leonidas Raphael is a 1 year old Pit bull Terrier. We adopted him from a pet rescuer for Christmas. He loves to chase squirrels. Walter is good with children and very protective. He loves to sun bathe in the backyard.

Zoe (Bengal/Siamese)Zoe is a 4 month old half Bengal and half Siamese. My husband's niece bought Zoe at a pet shop for her little girl. She discovered her daughter was allergic to her, so she asked me if I wanted her. Of course, I said yes.
