Wildlife: GoldfinchEvery year I get sunflowers growing from seeds dropped at the bird feeders. We have one outside the kitchen window every winter. Now the finches are visiting and eating to their hearts content. I love these little birds.

An Afternoon TogetherThis is my Mom and Dad. It was taken on a warm spring afternoon in 2009, about 4 months before Mom passed away from lung cancer. She passed away 2 weeks before their 40th wedding anniversary.

Travel: The Cliff Walk (Newport, RI)My husband and I took a trip to Newport, Rhode Island for some sightseeing, and of course chowder! We took a walk along New England's rocky shoreline, called the Cliff Walk, to enjoy the ocean breezes. The cool blue water and natural beauty of the coast was picture perfect.
