What do you do when your collection of books exceeds the space on your bookshelf? Make your books a functional part of your decor. Stack them on the floor, add a piece of glass or wood and use them as a base for a small table.

When I worked at a wallpaper store, periodically they would toss out outdated books and I would save the fabric samples. Eventually, I had enough to make a quilt and then bought enough of the navy fabric to finish it.

Drawer OrganizingI've found that since my husband is an avid golfer, we have an abundance of golf ball boxes, which make perfect drawer organizers. The boxes from Titlist, Pentach, and Calloway are reinforced and just the right size.

Mark Real Margarine Container From Reused ContainersI use margarine and cottage cheese containers for storing food in the fridge. To ID which one is actually the margarine or cottage cheese, I put a rubber band around that one. It not only IDs it, but helps to grip the container especially if you have small children.

Fixing a Too Tight VisorA couple of my favorite visors pinched behind my ears and, after a while, gave me a headache. Rather than throw them away, I decided to try a last effort. I heated my oven to 300 degrees F and put the visors one at a time on a pan.
