So many people like to "dumpster dive" or find furniture that needs to be picked up and hauled away. I moved into an apartment building which has been infested with several types of bugs, bed bugs, cockroaches, and who knows what else.

Tip: Use Distilled Water in Neti Pots

It's better to be safe than sorry so please use distilled water or water that has previously been boiled and then stored in a sterile container. Also, rinse your Neti pot well with hot water, turn upside down on a clean towel to drain and allow to completely dry....

Tip: Wooden Spoon When Cooking Fudge

When making fudge, use a wooden spoon not metal. Heat from the fudge will go to the spoon and it takes longer for the fudge to come to the right stage.

Heat Burners To Remove Food ResidueAfter wiping the stove off after dinner every day, I turn on all the burners on high for 30 seconds and watch to see if there is smoke. Then I turn them off to cool. This saves me from having a burning smell on the bottom of pots the next time the stove gets used.

Seal Food Using A Recycled Plastic BottleCut about 2 inches below a plastic bottle with cap. Put left over food in plastic bag to store in refrigerator. Pull the plastic up the neck of the bottle and close cap to keep it air tight.

Pipe Cleaner BowsI bought some pipe cleaners and made a bow for my Christmas packages. I put all the packages into a mesh laundry bag, and then put this bow on the top. All the presents were wrapped, but I have to do this or the cats will tear off the wrapping paper.
