A friend of mine had heard we are having our family dinner for Thanksgiving at my house and made the comment that she could never afford to feed so many people. I told her it was easy on the budget, if you plan ahead.
Use a spare CD case, add some soil and a seed, close it and leave it by a bright window. A pretty plant will sprout and grow! Great for a child's learning project or even a pretty, natural window ornament!
Purchase old bed springs from a thrift store. Decorate to your desire and give as gifts or use as decor in your own home.
I wasn't able to get good photos so I'll go ahead and tell you what I did. First of all, I really can afford new pencils or a pack of erasers. I have this lifelong fascination with words and crosswords are part of that.
Get more bang out of your gingerbread buck by simply turning the men upside down and decorating as a reindeer! Use other common holiday candies as decoration.
