The protea is one of South Africa's most famous flowers. It is also called a sugarbush. The protea flower, which represents change and hope, is a local favorite in wedding bouquets. It is definitely one of my personal best-loved flowers.

This lovely little wreath lesson was offered at my local library and used discarded books for the project. Lovely I think and lots of fun to make with a friend/loved one!

Emergency Kitchen CandleI learned this idea from my mom three years ago. We used to have rotational brownouts in our area and sometimes we won't have the chance to charge our emergency lights or even our phones. It would be too costly to buy candles for that purpose and candles easily melt.

DIY Vintage Medicine CabinetOnce this cabinet was done, it had a look of unity and rusticness. I used multiple examples of form when I used multiple rectangles off the top of my head.
