The majestic Anna Ruby Falls is located within the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest in North Georgia. This past August, during the heat and drought of the summer, my husband and I found it so refreshing to escape to the paved 0.4-mile footpath which leads from the parking lot to the base of the falls.

Dried Hydrangea and Victorian DollThe blue dried hydrangea beauties share the table with a doll dressed in Victorian attire, her red hair is adorned with a hat that frames her porcelain face and the emerald green colors of her dress and accessories. Magical Lake (Keolado National Park, India)This photo was taken by me at Keolado National Park during my recent visit there. It is a wildlife park famous for it's migratory birds that travel all the way from Russia. After a busy day of spotting birds, I sat down on a small bench next to this absolutely magical lake.

Perfect Sunset Spot (Laguna Beach, CA)Welcome to Heisler Park in Laguna Beach, California virtually. This park is breathtaking, you get a beautiful view at any angle and at any time of the day. My favorite time visiting this park is catching the sunset! Just look at all the colors!

Blueberry ~ An Early VarietyI have tried to grow several varieties of blueberries with only minimal results. I am tickled pink over this little beauty. As of February 20, it is covered with blooms, and soon will be covered with blueberries. My sister gave the plant to me.

Canyon Road Trail (Boulder, CO)This shot was taken from a bridge overlooking a popular rock climbing spot for Boulderites and others in the state of Colorado. Head up Canyon Road and you can't miss it. Lovely trails and little spots to dip your feet into the cool water make for a great outing.

Beautiful Red RoseThe coloration of the blossom on this rose illuminates my back deck. The rose bush is planted in a large flower pot and flourishes during the spring and early fall with buds of red crimson. After a rain it is kissed by the droplets and glistens.

Hibiscus Rosa SinensisJust another picture I wanted to share. I've posted pictures of this hibiscus, before. Why again? I've taken this plant in for the winter. It is under artificial light, and not a whole lot of that. And here at the beginning of February, it decides to bloom.

Bad Weather is ComingSince I lived in a tropical country, Philippines, we've always been encountering storms. Almost every month, we have bad weather. As I drove home after picking up my kids from school, we witnessed the storm was coming. It was tremendous! My Faithful BegoniasI grow a lot of begonias. To save money, each fall I bring some in to root cuttings. I'm behind this year. You can see in the picture what an unseasonable 3 degrees did to my plants. Guess I'll have to fork over much dollars for new plants come spring.

Frozen Frog Rock Garden PondMy rock garden pond was built with river rocks from my late sister's home in Arkansas. During the winter and the temperature drops below freezing, the pond freezes over, but the pumps that push water through the ceramic frog still flow water and the water will freeze in mid stream. It is a fascinating sight.

Life In The Winter GardenIt seems as though, when Mother Nature sticks a knife in, she twists it. She dumps a heavy layer of snow atop a little squirrel's nest. Poor squirrel. No central heat nor fireplace, no long johns, nor muffler. And as fit as he must be to survive, not an ounce of fat for insulation against the bitter elements.
