An Early SnowSomehow, our area missed an early frost. It sure as heck didn't miss an early snow. I know the children are happy. I don't need snow in my life, thank you. One ankle deep, very pretty snow each year for the children is enough.

Yellow Flowers (Fremont, CA)Hiking at Coyote Hills is never disappointing. It inspires a grateful heart. There is a butterfly garden there, it's fairly new. It's truly lovely with many beautiful species of plant life. Yellow always draws my attention and this pretty flower caught my eye.

Fall Colorfest (Gibbs Garden, GA)I feel very fortunate to live in North Georgia where we have a lovely year-round seasonal display of color. A wonderful friend recently asked me to join her for a day of outdoor enjoyment at Gibbs Gardens, where fall has splashed its autumnal shades everywhere and The Valley Gardens were spectacular as the season comes to an end.

Clematis - Belle Of WokingFunny how we assume things with little or no good reason. Such is the case with this clematis. Given it's Oriental sounding name, I assumed the vine originated in China or was named for a real or fictitious lady from China. Not so.

Malaysian Bred ChickenSeeing the greens around with this colorful Malaysian bred chicken is such a wonderful morning view. It's fresh and soothing to the eyes. What I like most about this photo is the chicken being caught in the act of keeping a nice posture as it feeds. And it felt like I had just a wonderful day seeing this!
