When you get down to the last squirt from your bottle of lotion, don't throw it away. There is probably a lot of lotion still left in the bottom of the bottle.

New Shelf from Decorated BoxesI recently began selling things on my local auction sites. It's fun and gets rid of the clutter. So I had these shelf units in my store room. I wanted one to go up just a bit so I used two decorated boxes as support.

Saving Money on ElectricityI always try to save on electricity. I put items on power strips and unplug items I' am not using. A few years ago I bought a twin window fan. I liked it so much I bought two more. I got them for $4-7 at yard sales.

Baby Oil for Sticky Rubber HandlesI have scoured the internet looking for the answer to this dilemma. Most sites say use baking soda or talcum powder. I didn't think that would be good for my camera so I experimented with a sticky pen. The unbelievable solution is baby oil! My camera has been sticky free for over a year. A very small amount will do the trick.

Bird Suet SubstituteI feed wild birds all year, especially with the hard winter they've had, but it's hard to keep enough (not to mention costly) to keep buying replacement suet cakes. I do make them sometimes, but decided to try just spreading some peanut butter on some stale raisin bread I had, then placing it into one of the suet cake holders.

Sweet Potato SmoothieA lot of people will toss sweet potatoes when they show signs of drying. They do not make good baked potatoes. They are good for whatever requires grated sweet potatoes. Baked potatoes are good for making pies, but for a baked sweet potato casserole, grated are best. Raw sweet potatoes are an excellent source of quick energy. Grated and used as you would carrots (in a salad, etc.) will give you a little energy boost.

Paint Glue Under Glitter PolishI love the occasional glitter manicure, but when it's time to change to something more subtle, I seem to use up so much nail polish remover trying to get all the little bits off. A good way to avoid that is by painting a coat of white glue (like Elmer's) on the nails as a base coat.

But when the internet guy hooked my stuff up, he had very little cable that day. That makes it really hard to "turn it around/backwards to see the numbers". Even then, I would have to see things upside down.

Cheap Natural Hand ScrubI tend to have a hard time with my hands being rough and not feeling soft. Recently I purchased a box of Raw Sugar at the Dollar Tree to decorate the top of cookies. Because of the coarseness of the sugar, I had a great idea. I took an old parmesan cheese container with the green shaker top, and filled it up with the Raw Sugar. I placed it on the sink next to my liquid hand soap.

Recycling Heads Up!A friend left a large gift box with a top and bottom and I reinforced it inside with cardboard cut to fit the sides, on both boxes.I stapled the cardboard at top and bottom to strengthen. Now I use it to fold and store bedding. That's the beginning of the story.
