I spent many years watching my grandma wash plastic baggies, reuse wrapping paper, and make tree ornaments out of odd things. I also watched my grandpa turn tractor seats into lawn chairs, turn a new leg for a flea market chair missing a leg, and make a colorful trellis out of odd farm implements. So my being thrifty is a given.
