'My husband and I have two cats--one is part Norwegian Forest Cat and the other is a Tortie. We also have Bear who is a 100 pound Golden Retriever. I just retired from teaching in May of 2006 and it became very clear after adopting these two fuzzy girls from the Humane Society that I had forgotten about the cost of food and litter and where the litter box would have to be located. We had our last cat, a Manx, for 19 years and she was so non needy that I had forgotten what it was like to have young cats around who run and bounce and want to be on my lap, on my chest, on my computer desk and on the kitchen table. I only meant to rescue one but they had both been in the same home so I gave in.
I like to check out consignment shops and the Goodwill Stores but have not so far put anything on E-Bay. CVS has a good coupon program where you can save $4.00 on a $20 dollar purchase some weeks and discounts other things that appear on your cash register receipt. That makes it more affordable to do more shopping there than at the big box stores and is much more convenient.
I like Kohls and Steinmart for shopping, I hardly ever shop anywhere else except for shoes which I have to have a Wide Width.
