Hello! I am an obsessive re-cycler and live a very frugal life...and proud of it! I am married with 2 boys and live in vermont. I am very creative with useful crafts and enjoy doing them often. I cook entire meals for under for $5.00, 4-5 servings. I enjoy cooking in advance and freezing so that I can have a wholesome meal/snack in minutes!
Canvas Bag ProjectThis is a really simple project that requires no real pattern and once you feel comfortable, you can just cut freehand and "eyeball-it"
Plastic Canvas Easter CrossThis is a simple craft for Easter using only plastic canvas and ribbon. First you should cut a pattern, start with a rectangle that is 21 squares by 17. Find the center on top edge, leave center square uncut.
Placemats and NapkinsCut 6 fabric fronts, 13x18 inches. Cut 6 fabric backings, 13x18 inches. Cut 6 pieces, 13x18 inches, of interfacing. Layer placemat pieces front and back facing together and interfacing on top (see photo), pin in place.
Re-Covered StrollerI bought a sturdy stroller at a yard sale for only $2.00! I brought it home to hear my husband say it is the ugliest stroller ever! So I soon made plans to re-cover it.
Scented Holiday Fire-StartersHere is an easy craft to make ahead for holiday gifts! Great gift for anyone with a fireplace! The first thing you should do is get the wax heating. If you don't have a double boiler, you can use a jar in a pot of water as shown in photo.
