I'm a 63 year old cat lady. It started with a small gray kitten with it's umbilical cord still attached, that was abandoned, probably by a very young mother, which was found by my daughter. She brought him to me and I've never been the same since. (He's still with me and I'm so thankful) I now have 3, inside my home. Four tame ferals that routinely come into my garage at night time or bad weather. In winter, they are in most of the time. Countless outside ferals that stop by for food and then leave to where ever. I believe in TNR and take care of all that cross my path the best way I can and what I believe is best for them. Some may be lucky enough to get a home(rarely), some will be given to good farm people as barn cats. Some may make it into my home, when I have room again. I have been criticized, made fun of, etc. and this doesn't affect how I feel about my mission at all. If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. They haven't a voice and no choice and truly, cats have been given a bad rap and they truly are wondrous animals that have personalities and much much love to give to the right person and or family. I feel the same about dogs, but they seem to get more attention then cats, but I do think the mind-set on that is changing, THANK GOODNESS! So, with that being said, I have 3 more getting neutered this weekend and needed shots, flea treatment, and away we go again:) I'm BLESSED to have these animals come into my life and BLESSED I can offer them help as needed. I'm not wealthy AT ALL, LOL, but anyone that has a heart, can find ways they can help the helpless, if they choose to do so, even if it's in a small way. God Bless Animal Lovers you ARE making a difference!
