Making a Pirate Map?
I have burnt the edges of various items I have crafted by using my electric range with coils. Simply lay the edge a little at a time on a heated coil, if it catches fire simply have a wet sponge to daub it with - makes fantastic burnt edges!
Gluing Sand to Wood?
Just a thought - use sand colored paint and mix the sand with it! I have used white paint and mixed sand with it to paint my snowmen out of concrete blocks - except the sand darkens it, so I have to spray a coat of white over it - but looks like snow!
Climbing Rose Advice?
I had a lovely climbing pink Queen Elizabeth - it only flowered the first year - I was told by searching online that they wont bloom but once, so hope that isnt the type you have!! I replaced it with the old-fashioned Pauls Scarlett and it blooms all summer...
