Thank you, but will I be also cutting the paper on the gypsum board ? How about the round scroll tool that I found? I like your idea of slitting the paper, but I dont want to run into problems on the gypsum board that I need to paint.

Thank You , I think Im in a catch 22 !! the wallpaper is ugly and lifting in many places. It must be removed , I have no choice, Im hoping it doesnt destroy the papered wall board. Will skim coating take away any mistakes and correct the issue. Regards

Thank you, I will not try and remove the paper on the board. I just hope not to do much damage to the gypsum board. Good advice,is your instruction based on after the original wallpaper is removed ? So, skim coat and the prime ?/
