I like to make something out of nothing, and sometimes there isn't any other way to get what you need! There's a lot of satisfaction in the process. I also like to salvage household and outdoor items that others may think are worthless. After subscribing to ThriftyFun, I know I have lots of company in these frugal pastimes. I also enjoy my flower garden, which I have endeavored to make as xeric as possible, and a small vegetable garden, which I have pared down to the items that are most successful, i.e., tomatoes, cucumbers and green beans, both pole and bush.
I am married since 1979, with a married 26-yr.old son, a 21 yr. old daughter in college, and an 11-week old grandson. I work part-time in a corporate gift shop, and my husband is a Topeka city employee.
