I love sewing, crafting, selling items on Craigslist, gardening, going for bike rides, a quick gambling trip to Detroit, Mi., watching grand kids play sports and being outdoors. I love animals, especially cats and dogs. I work part-time as an office clerk. Enjoy getting Senior Citizens discounts where ever we can. LOL!!LOL!! I am married to a wonderful S.C. (Senior Citizen) and have 2 grown children and 3 grand children, 1 dog and 3 cats. I also adore ThrifyFun.com. I am on here every day reading about all our concerns and fun things to do.

Crocheted Baby Afghan

Crocheted Baby AfghanThe original pattern found on Lion Brand Yarn, Pound of Love, package called for a blanket with a hood. I decided to omit the hood. It was in one color. I also used contrasting matching colors to add stripes to the afghan. This is a shell pattern.

Crate cover with flap open.

Dog Crate CoverThis is a cover for my dog's cage. I made to help keep him warm and also for privacy. It has a flap in the front you can tie up or let it down to have the cover closed yet allow him access to go in and out.

A pincushion made from fabric and a terra cotta pot.

Terra Cotta PincushionThis is a cute pincushion using a terra cotta pot for the vessel to hold the batting in. You could paint the pot. I chose to decorate it with sewing trimmings.

A girl dressed as an Indian maiden.

Halloween: Little Indian MaidenI took fleece material, cut it and made it into a simple jumper. I made it big so she could dress warm that night. Cut fringe and sew trim on bottom of skirt. Add a head band with a feather and feather trim in front of jumper.

recovered stool

Recovering a FootstoolMy cousin bought this old foot stool at an auction for $1. It was from an estate sale of an elderly lady friend of mine from church. She moved into assisted living. I wanted to refurbish it and keep it in order to remember her.
