I am a young wife with two beautiful fur babies, Louie, my husband's 1 year of mix, and Aubrey, my 4 month old Catahoula/ Lab mix. WE found Louie along side a two lane road starving to death about a year ago when he was just a baby, (the vet said about 6 weeks old) and I adopted Aubrey as she was about to go into the shelter. She was thrown out a truch window on this previously passed Halloween into a lady's yard and the lady couldn't keep he so she had brought her to the shelter. I just happened to be there when she had arrived. I was told that if I decided not to take her, the she would be put down. She was supposedly aggressive, because she barked bared teeth at another shelter dog who had barked at her. But since getting her out of that scary situation, she is so calm and gentle, Very Playful, but still.
