I live almost 100 miles from a big city. You need to buy an antenna that has a larger range. It will cost more, and read the reviews, but it is worth it, mine cost $30, but I get over 50 channels.

You can also pick up a computer for very little, or even barter for it. Try Freecycle.com in your area.
Save Electricity with LED Bulbs
I live in TN, and I actually found these bulbs in the Dollar Tree near my home. They were the 40W equivalent, but that works for me.
