Cooking Time for Beef?
I always use a MT, I have one that you spear into the meat, set the temp and an alarm goes off when it gets to that temp. It saves me forgetting an expensive joint and gives perfect results every time. Well worth the investment.
Bread is Dark from Edge into the Loaf?
If you baked them in a Bain Marie this wouldnt happen. It shares the heat evenly.
Substitute for a Flour Sifter?
You could just whisk your flour in the bowl. Sifting is to remove lumps and add air, so whisking does this as well.
Slow Cooker Energy Usage?
I was told its about the same as a light bulb, if that simplifies things? Do you all brown your meats first ? If I dont it just tastes boiled rather than slow roasted or am I doing something wrong?

Yes, cooking spray. I would like an aerosol spray oil to stop my cakes etc sticking. I find the pump dispense we have here fiddly and not very good. I know I can import it from USA but the shipping is so expensive it makes it not worth while. thanks
