Connection was not my blankets issue either. Unplug it. Lay it out flat. Plug it back in. Its a safety feature to prevent the blanket from overheating. (This information was on the back of my controller - found this thread first).

Make sure the cord is connected to the blanket. If that doesnt work. Lay the blanket flat. Unplug it from the power source. Wait a few seconds and plug it back in.
