Loctite Glass Glue will work wonders. I am not too sure about modge podge though. If you want to know for sure, i would reccomend trying. There will be streaks in the modge podge if that helps any.

You heat a knife with a lighter untill it is redish orange. Then if you go slower, you will get a more smooth effect. Just keep the lighter close by. You will most likely have to re heat it muliple times
