Vacuuming the suede shoes w/the brush attachment of the vacuum should remove loose dust from storage.

The best well known suede shoes were Hush Puppies and with each pair you were given the Hush Puppy Brush. The head was about 1 1/2 inch square and the center of the brash brushes were wired brush. You can get them at a saddle shop, shoe store, etc. Don't rub hard, and brush in same direction. Like suede/leather fabrics, you can etch the shoes if you do it wrong.

Another suggestion, use a clean toothbrush.

Brush them with a shoe brush. Don't have one? Use a clean dry old toothbrush.

They used to sell suede brushes at the shoe stores in with the polish etc. They had metal (brass?) bristles.
