Meat Slicer for Slicing Potatoes

A pal says she uses her meat slicer for slicing potatoes for scalloped potatoes, etc. She said she can slice a 10 lb. bag of potatoes very quickly. Other veggies can be done the same way, especially if you're wanting uniform slices.
