Coconut oil. Available at Walmart (in cooking oils), other regular stores, and most all health food stores. It's a wonder. Makes good conditioner, and skin cream also. It kills germs and will kill germs in your mouth even. It will also drown head lice and kill them (but doesn't get rid of the nits, which you should pull off anyway). It's not cheap, but it goes a long way. It's solid at room temperature and does not have to be refrigerated. I suggest organic.
Ditto on the coconut oil. :-)
Cholesterol by Helen Curtis, I think, by at beauty supply stores, works great and is very cheap to purchase.
Depending how dry your hair is Cholesterol by Helen Curtis is very good. a good inexpensive conditioner for anyone is mayonaise. put on your hair, let sit for about 30 minutes, then wash gently.
It's Helene (not Helen) Curtis Cholesterol and it does work really well but as a retired hairstylist, after 35 years doing multi-ethic hair, I can tell you that your type of hair will be happier with coconut oil and it has no added manufactured ingredients. ;-)
