We buy a lot of items on craigslist and if the listing doesn't have a picture attached then we usually just pass it by. So, when selling something on Craigslist always include a picture of the item you are selling. As the saying goes "A picture says a thousand words."

I was just telling my husband the same thing when we started posting must sell for money things!
In the Buyer Beware department, though-- take a careful look when there are pictures but they look too good to be true, like they were swiped straight from the manufacturer's website ( seen in some of the "like new" "hardly used" ads there are a lot of --if it's in such great shape, let's see a REAL picture of it!)
Also CL is a great place, when you're careful--for used appliances, furniture and other bulky items it would otherwise cost a fortune for the shipping alone--I find it not so much in the "collectibles" categories, accurate pictures or not...much better deals on eBay, Amazon used and a few other auction sites for that stuff--when you're the buyer.
