About a month ago I noticed a weird sour smell in my bedroom, kind of like rotten berries or something. I've noticed this smell outside before and other places around my block. But for some reason it's really strong in just my one bedroom, but outside the bedroom window there's no smell at all.
I actually narrowed it down to the bedroom window so I cleaned the whole thing, but the smell was still there. In the side corner of the window it was really strong. There were also some tiny holes in the wall there so it was either the corner of that window or the holes doing it. I patched the holes with drywall and sprinkled baking soda over that area.
The smell has been gone for 2 weeks. I was just in my room 5 hours ago, and it smelled fine, but now that smell is in my room again. I tried to smell around the area it was before, but I think it's coming from somewhere else now. I would have to locate it again by airing out the room. Does anyone have an idea of what is causing this odor?

Is there any possibility that you have a bees nest in your walls? The honey might be the cause of the odor.
Or a possible opening through which squirrels are getting in with their berries which are rotting in your walls. They get in through roof vents, pipe holes, and any small opening, or birds could be forcing berries in through small holes, thinking they are storing them.
