In October I asked for recommendations for free online game sites and got a wonderful response. Thanks so much to all who responded. Tahlula recommended the Interactrivia.com site which I joined and have really enjoyed. But about a week ago, I could no longer bring the site up. I just keep getting the "timed out, site is not responding" error message.
Do any of you out there, in addition to Tahlula, belong to the site and if so, do you know what's going on with it? I sure hope maybe it's just down for maintenance, because it's a great trivia game/chat site, the best and easiest-to-use I could find and now can't bring up, sigh.

I too have been playing online trivia and loving it. Suddenly Dec 6th I have been recieving the message unable to connect to site.
Thanks for your responses, JAEMM and Theography. I'm hoping for the best, that maybe they're just updating/redesigning the site; supposedly if a site's been shut down for good, you'll get a "404, Page Not Found" error message; instead I've just been getting a "network timeout, site's taking too long to respond" message. So maybe that's a good sign. Anyway, I check it at least a couple times a day--I loved the site too and guess I got addicted :-)--so if I ever find anything out, I'll post it here on ThriftyFun.
I as well cannot log into interactrivia. Seems as though the site has been shut down, which is a shame! Bessie, where are you? If anyone has any information please provide an update.

Chatgames.com has had live trivia since 1995. I came across Interactrivia quite by accident, but too late it seems. I've played for years at Chatgames. They have live hosted trivia with a free program to download in order to play. It is not a browser based trivia site, but all their information is at Chatgames.com. There are a lot of fun people there of all ages (18-60+) from the U.S., UK, Australia, and Canada. There is a schedule of game times on the site, also.
