You absolutely need to ask your vet. If this is a small breed vs large breed, they each have a certain kind of food and certain amount of food needs daily. I also give mine vegies from the garden (raw) and loves fruit too. I use science diet. Each kind of food has different texture as well. Make sure you feed dry food with plenty of water. Canned foods is like living on pureed baby food all your life. Your dog needs textures.
again, ask your vet. At this age, you should have had the pup in for shots already.
