Use masking tape sticky side out for easy clean up for small items like broken glass, glitter spills, tiny paper pieces. It makes a great lint brush, too!

Thank you for a good idea. Makes me wonder if I can do this the next time I drop a hard (not soft) contact lens on the floor.
