Save Gifts for Sick Child

Throughout the year, reserve a couple of small gifts your child was given for holidays and birthdays for a sick day. You'd be amazed how much better a sick child can be made to feel when presented with a new tray of watercolors, box of crayons, or coloring book, etc. when they have to stay home from an illness. Not to mention the sanity these small things will give to Mommy!

I remember having measles 60 odd years ago and being allowed to play with Mum's rag-bag. No idea what I did with the pieces but it was great fun! Don't suppose anyone has rag-bags now, does anyone still patch?
