This is cute to hang in your kitchen. Kids can do this too, with help of course.
Approximate Time: 1 hour
Supplies:
- red felt
- pink felt
- white felt
- pink and red ribbon, the thin stuff
- letter stencils
- heart shaped stencil or free hand drawn template
- scissors
- glue
- small hole punch
Instructions:
- Using a heart shaped template, trace heart onto the red felt. Your felt should be about 6 inches wide at top of your heart. It will be about 7 inches where your letters go and about 6 inches in length.
- Trace your letter L on to the left side of your template. Do the same for letter E but on the right side of your red template so your letters will fit, incorporating them into the heart shape.
- Punch a small hole in the top and at the bottom of the heart.
- Trace your letters L, V, and E onto pink felt using your stencil. The letter L should be about 3 inches in length and your letter E will be about 2 inches in length.
- Cut out letters.
- Cut out a white heart and a smaller red heart to fit in the middle of white heart.
- Glue small red heart onto white felt.
- Cut out a small pink heart.
- Cut out a small piece of red ribbon for the hole in the top. Loop it through hole and tie in a knot for hanging.
- Cut 4 pieces of red ribbon about 20 inches long and 3 pieces of pink ribbon. Loop all your ribbons through the bottom hole and tie in a knot.
- Cut out 2 pink flowers and 2 red ones from your felt.
- Glue onto the middle of your long ribbons.
- Glue on your letters and 2 hearts.
- Let it dry overnight and hang.
